Mortality of adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder compared to those without

659 individuals with ASD that were identified in the UK Biobank were found to have a 90% higher all case mortality when compared with 6590 matched individuals without ASD. They had a significantly higher risk of 45 medical conditions. A trajectory to death analysis showed three different clusters of conditions that were responsible for the excess mortality: cardio-metabolic diseases, external conditions, and infectious diseases.
